How GTR Began
Building confidence and rapport to help retain teachers
The concept of Genius in the Room started with a Capstone Project at High Tech High Graduate School of Education. With teacher retention and shortage becoming a national problem and much so in our community, GTR was an experimental study to determine if and how relevant personalized professional development affect teacher teacher retention. Through this experimental study using GTR, data confirmed the research that not only will the "Genius in the Room" help expand on and educators areas of growth it will also be a catalyst to help improve teacher retention.
